About GVBCA
The Greater Vancouver Bangladesh Cultural Association (GVBCA) is a vibrant non-profit organization dedicated to preserving and promoting Bangladeshi culture in Canada. Founded in 2002, GVBCA is the result of the merger of two earlier cultural associations, bringing together a rich history of community engagement.
GVBCA’s mission is to introduce Bangladeshi heritage, culture, and language to the diverse Canadian population. Through various cultural events, programs, and initiatives, GVBCA fosters understanding, appreciation, and dialogue between Bangladeshi Canadians and the wider community.

Words from GVBCA President
With great pride and joy, we welcome you to our vibrant community. Our association acts as a bridge, connecting the rich cultural heritage of Bangladesh with the diverse and dynamic landscape of Vancouver. Here, we unite to celebrate our traditions, share our stories, and nurture a sense of belonging among all Bangladeshis in this beautiful city.
Our mission is to create a home away from home, where every member can feel the warmth and camaraderie of our culture. Through festivals, cultural events, and community gatherings, we strive to preserve and promote the values and customs that make us proud Bangladeshis.
I encourage each of you to actively participate in our activities, share your ideas, and help us build a stronger, more connected community. Together, we can ensure that the spirit of Bangladesh continues to flourish in Vancouver, enriching our lives and those of future generations.
Thank you for your support and commitment.
